Licking the spoon...

Remember when you made cake, cookies, or brownies with your mom and you got to lick the spoon. Well, my mom has taught my kids the "treat of the spoon". We made brownies today for Lucas to take to Cubbie tomorrow night and of course, they both wanted to lick the whisk. They would share and then fight over the whisk, but the best part was when Nora accidently got some on her shirt and Lucas said "I'm going to lick your shirt Nora!"

Take a second look....

Nora is wearing her cute swimsuit but also Lucas' underwear. Lucas declared a naked day and took off all his clothes. So Nora grabbed his underwear and put it on.

Chores???

We are trying to get Lucas into the habit of chores. We asked him and Nora to take the laundry out of the dryer and put it into a basket. This is the result we got.

Nora turned 2. What a day! We invited her little friend Ausia over to play and have lunch. Then we went to their God-parents' home for dinner and my first birthday cake that was in a form of a character. It turned out pretty good. As you can tell from the photos Nora likes Hello Kitty!

Beautiful children

We get remarks all the time about how beautiful our children are. We wonder "Do all parents get this many remarks about their kids?" I'm sure they do but we love how beautiful our child are, inside and out. Although, they can test our limits many times in one day, overall our kids are pretty good. Lucas' teachers keep commenting on how nice and considerate he is, which I hope to hear every year of school (here's hoping).

Happy Valentines Day!

We started a tradition (which I'm sure will end when Lucas wants to pick his own Valentines) that we take pictures of Lucas and then paste them onto red paper (still left over from our wedding) and make these into Valentines for his classmates at Preschool. He loves seeing funny pictures of himself and of course Nora wants in on the act.

Life in the Top Bunk

Our kids love their bunk beds. Actually, they love the top bunk and often will climb up and play and wrestle. It is very fun to watch. There is also a little bit of sibling love going on. They really love to play together and wrestle together. Nora can certainly hold her own. We know its a phase and that in a number of years they will be at each other's throats. Or maybe not? Who knows. We have amazing kids...Anyway, tonight before saying good night to Nora, I had to physically seperate them from hugging each other. I think that two minutes is plenty....
